Eliota Fuimaono-Sapolu

During the 2011 Rugby World Cup, Gloucester’s (now ex-) center and Ambassador for Samoan Rugby was publishing material across X (formerly Twitter), in which he verbally attacked referees. By the time it was discovered the damage was already done.

Samoa Rugby Union was forbidden from picking Eliota for any rugby team at any level.

Case study Hamish Darling

John Ansell

The ACT Party hired John Ansell, over time, his advertising creatives became more extreme, eventually posting ads with racial slurs in national newspapers.

He was fired and it took a long time for the Party to recover. The worst part?

Had he been vetted, this was entirely preventable.

Case study Lee Williams

Lee Williams

During  2020 & 2021 Synlait’s (now ex-) employee Lee Williams was publishing objectionable material across YouTube & Facebook, sometimes under an alternate name/ aliases.

The damage that Lee Williams caused to Synlait was extreme, and entirely preventable with proper social media vetting.
